A new pricing structure has been introduced by the AA. The scheme charges a lower weekly rate (£125) and then 15p per mile on a “pay as you go” basis. The scheme is aimed at Instructors who will do lower than average mileage.

On a recent BBC1 Newsbeat programme, contributors from AA, the DIA,  Red Driving School and ADINJC all agreed that the current system needs to be replaced. No dounbt this will involve the DSA shelling out a fortune to consultants who will only tell them what ADI’s have been saying for years.

In a change of direction, Red Driving School are decreasing their reliance on trainee instructors, while Bill Plant Driving School will now no longer be accepting trainees as franchisees.

Red Driving School are offering a £1000 startup discount in order to try to attract new instructors. The deal operates by discounting the first seven weeks franchise fee by £1000. This deal is only available to instructors who take out the full franchise package.
